I seem to have a bit of a mental block when it comes decorating the heart of my home.
There are so many fun ideas, I can't seem to decide what route to follow...
Retro, Shabby Chic, one theme or another, or just clean and simple?
here were a few kitchen items that struck my fancy,
Do they strike yours? If they do click on the image to find out more.

I honestly prefer the "eclectic" approach to decorating. Not only does it stay true to what you appreciate in life, there are NO RULES! Some folks may judge the approach because perhaps they feel it's lazy or just an excuse to not decorate, but I'd wholeheartedly disagree. So long as it doesn't become an out-of-control-hoarding situation, I find it to be comforting, inspiring, and visually pleasing to surround myself with the items that stir me most. People come into my domain and instantly know who I truly am. Well, that's my two cents anyway. :)
Ooooh, I love the cute cafe kitchen curtain. I really like to mix it up, too. I cannot wait till we buy or build our house. I have this old white enameled cast iron, wood burning, kitchen stove waiting for me in storage!
What sweet picks! Thanks for including Hello Victory. When I'm decorating my home I have a hard time determing a specific route to take too. I find I'm drawn different things, but try to make the rooms cohesive by using similar colors.
Amazing stuff! I love those little chickens...
Thank you for shouting out about my work again! I love that green glass jar!
I love that pillow! The apron too. Cute finds! :o)
I love that cafe curtains are back and I love this design!
Mmhmm. loving the whimsical mushroom painting!
Such cute things, and just as I am contemplating tackling my kitchen decor next....
These are darling :) I too get inspired by too many things.. it's so hard to choose. I decide now based on need, if items fit with my current decor, and function. Works for me!!
Love the plate and those curtains are just too cute!
I like the magnets- pastel and puffy, they remind me of Lucky Charms cereal. sweet!
How lovely!!
I have the same decorating dilemma! I love kitschy retro, cozy shabby chic, and streamlined modern. I love to decorate by theme, so nearly every room in my house has one of these styles exclusively. It may seem disjointed to guests, but this method works well for me!
