My name is Maartje (or Tizz), I am 28 years old, and born in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I love anything crafty and cute, and I'm a big shopaholic. Other things I love to do are blogging, watching movies, listening to music and writing letters. I get chronic migraines and am on disability. I opened my shop in 2007, when I found out that with my disability, I would never be able to move abroad to Denmark, where my boyfriend is from. I realised I would have to be able to support myself, so I would be free to move wherever I wanted. So that's exactly what my goal is, being able to support myself, while doing what I love: Creating.
1. Where do you get your fun and unique style from? What Inspires you?
I love anything retro and colorful, and that's exactly what inspires me. I don't really stick to a certain style, I just make what I love, which ends up being a mix of colorful things.
2. How long have you been a creative/crafty person?
I have been making things ever since I can remember. When I was little my sister and I were always making jewelry and sewing barbie clothes on my moms old sewing machine, turning the wheel with our hands, because using the pedal was too dangerous.
3. What are your business goals? Where do you see your line in five years?
I hope that one day I can live off what I earn with my shop. I am currently on disability because I get chronic migraines. I would love to be able to get rid of that, and be able to support myself.
4. What is your favorite movie?
Amélie! It's such a feel good movie, it never fails to cheer me up.
5. Where do you do your creating?
I wish I could say I have a room dedicated to crafting, but unfortunately I have to make do with just a desk!
