An Interview and Giveaway with Paper Glitter

I have always loved paper crafts & illustrating cute graphics and this combination of the two inspired great paper crafting projects and the founding of PaperGlitter. From paper toys, to stationery sets, clever decorating paper crafts projects and party sets, PaperGlitter offers the ability to create lovely paper things using "do it yourself" PDF file templates also knows as "printables". Aside from running the expanding PaperGlitter brand with the help of my husband & being a mom, I also am the founder and head designer of a Toy Design company in Miami, Florida which offers design and illustration services for the toy industry. 1. What inspires you to come up with new designs?

The Greeting Cards aisle at Target! Have you seen the amazing art there? It is full of inspiration and such a hidden treasure for resources. I may see a vintage card and love the funky font and immediately I want to go home and create my own spin on "vintage + funky". I also may see a color combination in fashion, let's say, and love it and try to apply that color combo in some project I am working on.



2. How long have you been creating?

As long as I can remember! I must have been about 4 when I created my first paper project. I had wonderful parents that recognized my interests in the arts and have always pushed me to draw, or do great paper things all through my life.



3. Where do you do your work? Do you have a dedicated area of your home, or?

I have 2 home offices but I work mostly out of the Miami office. In my own home I have a bedroom which I turned into another home office.
It was painted pink if you can believe it and it is now in the middle of a green "diva" themed renovation.



4. Tell us about a goal you have for your business

I would love to grow PaperGlitter to be the place moms and all crafty chicks go to for awesome paper projects! I will be working on my instant downloads shop so customers will have the option of instant download gratification and not wait on me to email the files to them like it is set up now. I would like to incorporate much more stationery and paper toys and paper dolls as well to the store--love those!



5. What is your favorite album?

The one I hear all of the time is "Riot on an empty street" by the Kings of Convenience. Sweet tracks!



6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

With 2 young kiddos helping me style PaperGlitter photo shoots! :) I am hoping to expand the PG brand and be inspired by my children while doing so.



7. What is your favorite thing to do on a weekend?

Spending time with my little girl and getting to know her -- she is very creative and just the cutest thing ever! Also, me and the hubs have a thing of cuddling in bed with Netflix ! Seriously--instant downloads of thousands of movies in a flash via a PlayStation?? What's not to love :)



8. Tell us about a new skill you'd like to learn

I would love to know how to knit and sew :) I live a high stress life so it would be nice to find a nice way to relax while making cute stuff!
